Pedal Powered Pictures Film Fest

Pedal Powered Film PosterThanks to Cynefin Cardiff for this guest post – this event sounds amazing!

This September Pedal Powered Pictures presents Cardiff’s first outdoor pedal powered film festival!

The idea came from a consultation event held last year by the Cynefin Programme and has been organised by local residents, community groups and social enterprises.

Three films will be screened outside Plasnewydd Community Centre between the 4th and 5th of September and the films were chosen by public vote:

Friday 4th @ 7pm: Slunce, Seno A Par Facek (a Czech comedy classic)

Saturday 5th @ 1pm: The Lion King (indoors)

Saturday 5th @ 7pm: Cool Runnings

Tickets are only £1 and money raised will go towards supporting the great work of Plasnewydd Community Garden and the YMCA (who are kindly hosting the event).

There will be a bar, Jerk It Jamaican Street Food and a Sustrans cycling information and advice stand.

You can buy tickets online at: www.pedalpoweredpictures.co.uk or at the reception of Plasnewydd community centre.

Remember to bring warm clothes and rest assured… if it rains we will screen the films indoors!

This event is funded by the Big Lottery and will be delivered by Green City Events, Pedal EmporiumCynefin, Plasnewydd Community Garden and the YMCA with additional support from Darkened Rooms and Made in Roath.
