The Roath Local History Society have posted their Summer 2015 programme online. Their next event is on the 25th June at Albany School. Further events throughout the year. See Programme below and on their website.
Members and guests are invited to join in a series of meetings which have been arranged to places of interest in and around our area. Please note the various starting times. It would be helpful if those attending are prompt and ready to commence at the time stated.
Thursday June 25th. Albany Road School, Albany Road.
Will Howlett will conduct a tour of the facilities and we will learn something of the important role this school has played in the history of Roath. We will then meet some of the senior students who will discuss their World War One Project of last year, which was staged at the school.

Thursday July 9th. Bute Park Restoration Project.
Jonathon Green will conduct us around the areas recently restored including parts of the castle moat, the foundations of the fulling mill and Benedictine Monastery. We will then visit the Education Centre and finish at the Secret Garden.
Meet near the Pettigrew Tearooms, Canton Bridge, for a 4.00pm start.
Thursday July 16th. City Road.
