Mackintosh Community Garden group will be holding an open meeting at the Mack on 7 April at 5:30pm to chat about their plans.
If you’ve always wanted to get involved with the Garden, now’s your chance – they’re looking for a secretary and treasurer, so they can go ahead and get funding, and need keen gardeners too!
Mackintosh Community Garden itself will officially reopen on Saturday 11th of April with a belated Big Dig!
About the Mackintosh Community Garden
After forming in the summer of 2012, the Roath Garden Party started work on Mackintosh Community Garden at the start of the following September. The aim is, with the help of the local community, to plant the garden up with fruit, vegetables and herbs, for the benefit of the volunteers and the community as a whole, while following organic and permaculture practices.
They hold regular volunteer days on Saturdays, from 12pm, and hold regular workday and social events, so check the Facebook pages for updates.
The garden is located on Arran Street, to the rear of the Mackintosh Sports Club & Community Centre (itself located at 38 Keppoch Street).
