Love Food Hate Waste roadshow in Roath

Roath Farmers Market will play host to a Love Food Hate Waste roadshow this Saturday (17 Jan).

The team will be providing shoppers and local residents with handy tips about how to reduce food waste and save money. Also, if visitors make a pledge to reduce their food waste they will receive free portion measuring tools, food tasters from Lia’s Kitchen and the chance to try a refreshing pedal-powered smoothie.

This event is part of a series of activities brought together by a collaboration between Green City Events, Cynefin Cardiff, Lia’s Kitchen, Adamsdown Environmental Action Group – with support from Cardiff Council and funding from WRAP.

More information about the events can be found here.

Did you know…we throw away 7 million tonnes of food & drink from our homes every year, the majority of which could have been eaten. It costs the average household £60 a month.
