St John Cymru Wales is recruiting in Roath

Thanks to Jason Venables for this guest post.

St John Cymru Wales is recruiting young people aged between 5 and 16 in Roath. We meet on a Friday evening at St Andrews URC on Penylan Road, Roath. The meeting times are listed below. We are also looking to recruit more youth leaders and trainers in this area.

As part of our youth team, young people – and of course youth leaders – will be able to gain new skills, build in confidence and meet new people through completing our internal and external awards schemes such as the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. St John Cymru Wales offers so many opportunities for youth leaders and young people: these include overseas trips to countries such as India, Russia, and Hungary, and recently Australia; a chance to network with other cadets, and attend public events across Wales. This year Roath Park have already competed in and gained a place in the National Welsh First Aid finals, taken part in ceremonial events, and attended duties at Cardiff City Stadium and other various events across Cardiff.

St John Cymru Wales is Wales’ leading first aid charity with over 4,200 volunteers across Wales. As well as providing a first aid service, we are also one of Wales’ largest youth organisations with over 50% of our members being under the age of 18.

St John Cyrmu Wales, Roath Park was formed in February 2014 and has since been a very successful youth division, and we are now looking to expand! If you would like to find out more, please contact Jason Venables by phone or email.
