Great Roath Bake Off 2014 – latest updates

So this year’s Great Roath Bake Off is upon us!

We’ve had a massive number of people coming to RoathCardiff to find out information about today’s event, so we thought we’d let you know the most up to date details and timings, straight from the horse’s mouth. Thanks to Wayne Courtney and his team of organisers and volunteers for the stupendous amount of work they’ve put in to arrange a fantastic day on Saturday 12th April.

Everyone is in for a treat, whether you’re entering the competition, or coming along to enjoy viewing and sampling the cakes and bakes (don’t forget last year’s entries were absolutely amazing – take a look at Nicole Rugman‘s photos of the 2013 entries on Flickr here), or for the afternoon of entertainment ranging from a Q&A with Great British Bake Off’s Beca Lyne-Pirkis, getting close up to Britain’s Got Talent star Nathan Wyburn’s amazing food art – with a piece specially created for the Bake Off; to live music from Calum Ross, Tori Lang, Junior Bill, Tomos Lewis, Siwan Clarke, Ellie Makes Music, Ragsy from The Voice, and more.

Don’t forget the judges either: Chris Needs MBE (BBC), Owain Wyn Evans (BBC weather), Dave Brookes (Real Radio), Christian Amodeo (I Loves the ‘Diff), Nikki Vivian (UrLastMouthful), Mariclare Carey-Jones (broadcaster), Sarah Williams (The Cakehouse), and our own Matt Appleby (RoathCardiff, Easyteas)
