Cardiff Half Marathon runs through Roath

This weekend sees the Cardiff Half Marathon visit Roath for the second time, as scenic Roath Park is incorporated into the route. The 19,000 runners signed up to run will be enjoying Roath and the park between the eight and 12 mile markers, with only one mile to go until the finish line at City Hall.

We’d just like to remind residents and visitors that there will be several road closures in the area to take account of the runners – West Grove, Richmond Road, Albany Road, Ninian Road and Fairoak Road will all be affected at points between 8am and 1.20pm on Sunday, although runners might still be found on the route until the early evening.

We wish all the runners the best of luck for their race!
