Olympic Torch Comes to Roath

Well it’s pretty obvious that the Olympic Games are happening pretty soon in London – but why not take the chance to wave the Olympic Torch through Roath today?

The Torch will enter the outskirts of the city at around 5.30pm on Friday 25th May, and is due to hit Roath at Newport Road / Broadway at approximately 6.15pm, moving on to Newport Road / Oakfield Street by 6.22pm, and will reach Newport Road / CRI at 6.26pm.

This is no doubt a once-in-a-lifetime-opportunity to see the Olympic Torch close up, and great news that it’s visiting Roath on its long journey from Athens.

Send us your photos and we’ll put them on the blog!

You can also watch the Torch relay live on the London 2012 and BBC websites, and read about the Cardiff torchbearers here.

Read all you need to know about timings, road closures, and changes to bus routes on 25th May on the Cardiff Council website.
