Roath Rec nominated for Royal protection – yourCardiff blog

The yourCardiff blog is reporting that:

Cardiff Council has nominated four Cardiff recreation grounds for Royal protection under the Queen Elizabeth Fields II Challenge. If the nominations are approved by the charity Fields in Trust, Rumney Recreation Ground, Roath Recreation Ground, Pontcanna Fields, and Wilson Road Recreation Ground in Ely will be protected for generations to come by covenants of the land.

They were kind enough to ask Matt from roathcardiff.net for a guest blog on what the Rec means to Roath. You can read the post here.
