For me, Roath is a great place to live because of how central it is.
Everything is within reach – there’s shopping on Wellfield Road, restaurants all over the place, and a beautiful park to walk around when the weather allows it. The centre of Cardiff is just 15 minutes away by bus, if there’s anything you can’t find here.
I like how Roath has its own identity – we have a lot of locally-owned business here, and that gives every shop and restaurant a unique feel, which can be difficult to find in a capital city.
Despite living here for three years I still often stumble across hidden gems – such as the tiny bakery on Arran Place. I guess my favourite thing about Roath is the way there always seems to be something new to explore.
