Roath People: Laura Reeves

Laura Reeves is an artist working in Roath, Cardiff. Her practice is working with an archive of 382 35mm transparencies belonging originally to a man and woman named Richard and Beryl, dating from the early sixties onwards.

The work ranges from drawing, photography, writing, film and limited editions of self published books. Journeys are made in to places that the couple visited fifty years before hand, many to coastal destinations around Devon where Laura is originally from.

She responds to the slides with her own experiences whilst on these voyeuristic journeys and the work created is an ever growing archive of material.
