Good news for Roath’s recyclers – change to Council collections

From 12 September green bag collections will become weekly.

The food caddy system – which in our experience has has a real impact on reducing seagull attacks this year – will be expanded to the whole of the city, while black bags for residual waste will move to a fortnightly collection.

The other big change is a new collection day – Wednesday.

Information leaflets, green bags and food caddy bags were delivered last week.

You can also text the Council to check collection days – text ‘TIDY’ with your house number and postcode to 60066. You will receive a weekly text to remind you of your collection day and what needs to be placed out.

What do you think of the new regime?
